Mildred Frieda Russell age 73 of Newport, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008. She had fought an ongoing battle with cancer for the last year. She was preceded in death by her parents James L. and Katy (Douglas) Sisk and sister Gladys Lethco all of Newport.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sonya and Norm Hairr, son Frankie Don Russell and grandchildren, Ashley, Dillon, Daphne, Brian, Stacy, and April. She also leaves 7 great grandchildren, all of Newport, brother, Bud; sister in law, Dulsey of Arkansas, sister: Betty of Newport, nephew, Jim Holt and Judy, great nephews, Scott, Eric, and Jeffery Holt of Morristown. Ben “Honey” James, age 76, went home to be with the Lord and sons Lennie and Marty, Sunday August 17, 2008. He was preceded in death by his beloved sons Lennie and Marty James. Mom and Dad Cape and Ollie Dove James. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Ottis and Carrine Hall. Two brothers, four sisters and five brothers-in-law.
He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. He was retired from the Wall Tube and Metal Products Co. He is survived by his wife Carole James. Daughter and son-in-law Myra and Charles Mooneyham. Special Daughter and Son-in-law Regenia and Harvey Ford and Kids. Daughter -in-law Lisa James. Grandsons Daniel “Lennie” James and Roger Earl Grooms and wife Cassie and Kids. Granddaughters Myra Roxanne James, Shea (big wart) Mooneyham and Amelia (little wart) Mooneyham. Sister and brother-in-law Martha and Marvin Holt. Sisters-in-law Eldora James and Grace James, brothers-in-law R. C.
