Ben “Honey” James
Ben “Honey” James, age 76, went home to be with the Lord and sons Lennie and Marty, Sunday August 17, 2008. He was preceded in death by his beloved sons Lennie and Marty James. Mom and Dad Cape and Ollie Dove James. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Ottis and Carrine Hall. Two brothers, four sisters and five brothers-in-law.
He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. He was retired from the Wall Tube and Metal Products Co. He is survived by his wife Carole James. Daughter and son-in-law Myra and Charles Mooneyham. Special Daughter and Son-in-law Regenia and Harvey Ford and Kids. Daughter -in-law Lisa James. Grandsons Daniel “Lennie” James and Roger Earl Grooms and wife Cassie and Kids. Granddaughters Myra Roxanne James, Shea (big wart) Mooneyham and Amelia (little wart) Mooneyham. Sister and brother-in-law Martha and Marvin Holt. Sisters-in-law Eldora James and Grace James, brothers-in-law R. C. Ball, Dwight (Pat) Hall, Grant (Wilma) Hall, Lynn Hall, Jed (Tracy) Hall and a host of nieces, nephews and friends Special friends Randy and Anna Holt, Rick Henderson, Lewis Hall, Ray Mynhier, and Bill Schrimer.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the Brown Funeral Home from 6 til 9 P.M. with the funeral service at 2 P.M. Wednesday at the Valley View Baptist Church, Hartford, with Rev. Doug Messer, Rev. Jim Hall and Rev. John Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the James Family Cemetery.

So sorry for the lose of Ben,but rest assured the rejoicing going on in Heaven. Carol I remember as a young teen how you would request Prayer service after service during my summers spent at Church. I Praise God after all your Faithful yrs of Praying Ben came to know the Lord. Know that I love you all. Hold to God and He will and is the Greatest Comforter.

Sorry to hear of your husband passing and i will keep you and your family in my prayers thru this time of grief. I did not know him but i do know that he was a part of my extended family lines.

Dear Carol and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ben. I will keep you in my prayers that God will give you strength in this time of need. I never had the honor of meeting him but it was one of my greatest desires. He is in my extended family lines also. Please extend my condolences to Eldora also.
