Betty S. Dorsey

Betty S. Dorsey, age 55, of Cosby, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the home of her mother in Newport.

She was preceded in death by her father Jay Ellison, grandsons, Robert Blake and Tanner Blaine Ellison.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Dorsey of Newport, Children, Robbie Ellison, Newport, mother Helen Hance of Newport, sisters, Martha Stokely, Del Rio, Brenda Ellison and Sharon Lane both of Newport. Sister-in-law ,Shirley McMillian, Newport, brother-in-law Wayne Dorsey, Gatlinburg, also several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October, 7, 2008 at the Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Caldwell and Rev. Willie Winters officiating.

Burial will be in the McMillian Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

Brown Funeral Home is in charge.
