SAVANNAH – Robert Isaac Elkins, 20 died on Sunday morning, November, 16, 2008 in Savannah, GA.

A talented guitarist, Isaac was born in Greenville, SC and lived for a time in Boulder, CO,  Elkhart, KS and Morristown, TN before moving with his parents to Savannah. After attending Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN for two years, Isaac graduated from Johnson High School in 2006. He was attending Savannah College of Art and Design at the time of his death.

Isaac was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Elkins, of Elkhart Kansas.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Robyn Self Elkins, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Self of Newport, TN and Mr. Kent Elkins of Zanesville, OH . Other family members include aunts, Renee’ Fisher and Carla Elkins of Wichita, KS and Patti Self of Greensboro, NC. and a host of cousins. He will be missed by scores of friends and loved ones from around the country.

A private internment will be on Friday, November 21 at Mulberry Gap Cemetery, Del Rio, TN. Friends are invited to the home of Bob and Betty Self beginning at 3:30 following the burial.

The family encourages memorial gifts be made to either VH1 Save the Music Foundation or to the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
