Samuel Daniel Acuff

Samuel Daniel Acuff, age 68, passed away, Saturday, April 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Henry Acuff, son John Robert Acuff, wife Nina Shoemaker, brother Roger Acuff, sister Pauline France.

He is survived by his daughter Darlene Acuff of Newport, son Jerry Acuff of Newport, granddaughters Jennifer Mitchell of Newport, Kelly Love of Newport, grandsons Michael Shoemaker of Morristown, Roger Kirtpatrick of Newport, great grandchildren Melondy, Damion, Bryson, Jared, Drew, and Chloe, sister Shirley Johnson of Morristown, Rosamae Harville of Morristown, Deanna Brown of Newport, Annie Sartain of Chatanooga along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Brown Funeral Home from 10:00A.M.-12:00 P.M. Interment will follow in White Pine Cemetery with Brother John Bugg officiating.

    I am very sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad, Clayton Fox knew him very well and also had worked with him years ago. My Dad came up to the funeral home but I don’t believe he tried signing his name because he doesn’t write very well because he has arthritis in that hand. We will continue to pray for your family and if you need someone to talk to please don’t hesitate to write back.
