Leona Cogdill
Leona Cogdill age 90 of Del Rio, TN., passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. She was a life long member of Jones Chapel Methodist Church in Del Rio; she was preceded in death by her husband Willis Cogdill; son Joseph Andy Cogdill; parents Andy and Myrtle Kelley; grandson Justin Strange; great-grandson Logan Mathis; brothers Andy Kelley and Tom Kelley; sisters Thelma Rodgers and Lena Cogdill.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Frances (Dale) Harris; grandchildren Teddy W. Strange, Kathy (Jim) Smith, Debra (Ken) Mathis, Marty (Michele) Strange; great-grandchildren Adam Strange, Jared (Miranda) Smith, Kaleb Smith, Jacob Strange, and Madison Strange; great-great-grandchildren Shelby Strange and Lily Strange; brothers Elmo (Louise) Kelley, Walker (Frances) Kelley, Don (Ruth) Kelley, and Fred (Cora Mae) Kelley; sister Tula Moore; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Mulberry Gap Methodist Church in Del Rio with the interment to follow in the church cemetery; the family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00a.m. at Brown Funeral Home and then 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
