Wesley Clark Ellison of Del Rio, TN., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Johnson City Medical Center at the age of 99. He was preceded in death by his father George W. Ellison and his mother Rebecca Cooper Ellison; brothers Bertie, Clealand, and George Ellison; sisters Lillie Pack, Louise Metcalf, Sarah Tucker, Katherin Pack, Helen Cook, Mary O’Dell, Elizabeth, Hattie, and Gertrude Ellison; his first wife Margaret Corn Ellison; sons Charles, Leon, and Royal Ellison; daughter-in-law Francis Ellison; son-in-law Virgle Marion.

Survivors include his wife Ethel Marie Ellison; son Ted Marven Ellison; daughters Effie Marion, Irene Williams, Imogene Turner, Betty Lou Wills, Edith Greenwald, Shirley Willis, Frances Ensley, and Hope McLain; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Ellison Family Cemetery in Del Rio; the family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Aunt Ethel, Was so sorry to hear of Uncle Clark’s passing. God was good and HE let us have him for many more years than we expected. I will keep you all in my prayers. Please take care of yourself and I will see you when I come home again. God Bless,
