DEAR WOODY FAMILY,
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR MOTHER AND MY AUNT. I REMEMBER PLAYING WITH ALL YOU COUSINS AT YOUR MOM’S HOUSE WHEN WE WERE ALL YOUNG. AND WHEN WE WOULD ALL SHOW UP WITH OUR PARENTS AT MAMAW AND PAPAW PARTON’S. I USED TO LOVE VISITING THERE BECAUSE I KNEW THERE WOULD BE LOTS OF KIDS TO PLAY WITH. YOUR MOM AND MINE AND OUR GRANDPARENTS ALWAYS MADE SURE WE WERE FED WHEN WE WOULD VISIT. I REMEMBER YOUR DAD’S FUNERAL OH SO MANY YEARS AGO NOW. YOUR MOM LOST LEE ROY AT A VERY YOUNG AGE. SHE WAS A STRONG WOMAN. SHE WENT THROUGH A LOT IN HER LIFE. YOU CAN BE PROUD OF HER. I REGRET A FEW THINGS IN MY LIFE AND ONE IS THAT I MOVED SO FAR (MICHIGAN) FROM MY VERY LARGE EXTENDED FAMILY. BUT LIFE BRINGS OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES THAT SOMETIMES TAKES YOU FROM OTHER THINGS THAT ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT. I’M SURE THAT AUNT LUCILLE TRIED TO RAISE YOU ALL TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE. HOPEFULLY, YOU WILL MAKE HER PROUD AS SHE WILL BE LOOKING DOWN ON YOU FROM HERE ON OUT. I AM SORRY THAT I COULDN’T BE THERE IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE TO ALL AND I MISS YOUS. MY EMAIL IS arobertsrn@yahoo.com IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO EMAIL ME. SINCERELY, ALICE FAYE (BOO-BOO)

I used to live on Dry Fork Road in Del Rio back in the 50′s and play with all the Parton Kids. Y J and I were particularly good buddies. I moved to Nebraska with my parents Walter and Doris Ford, and sister Vickie in the early 60′s. For some reason i decided to Google Y J and learned of the passing of Lucille. We are sorry for the family’s loss but very happy to hear Bart and Mary and the other kids and families are still going on strong in East Tennessee.
