Don Ramsey

Don Ramsey, age 63, of Cosby, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lola Ramsey; son, Ronald Michael Ramsey; and granddaughters, Adrian Wilson and Mikayla Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ramsey; daughters, Donna Allen (Michael), Heather Hartsell (Lynn), sons J.C. Ramsey (Michelle), David Ramsey (Lisa), Gary Ramsey (Karen), grandchildren Dalton and Emily Allen, Savannah, Isabella, and Samuel Ramsey, Timothy and Taylan Hartsell, brothers Lonnie Ramsey (Lee), Larry Ramsey, Harold Ramsey (Ellen), Darrell Ramsey (Nancy), Ray Ramsey (Terry), sisters Libby Fogliani (Carl), Thelma Large (Jimmy) along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

As per his request, he will be cremated. A memorial will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Garvers Chapel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

    Don and I were buddies when he worked at the Peddler, and it was always a bright spot in my day when I saw him and we shared a lot of humor and laughter – and generally really valued our friendship. I think of him often, and will really miss him. God bless Don, his family and his wonderful spirit!

    I know there is no word”s that can help the pain and broken Heart that all of you have!
    I have alway’s been told that time does heal the pain and loss!
    I sure do Pray that this is true!
